Catching Up Part 2

Cael turned 5 years old in June and then started kindergarten in July. He attends a year-round school. So far we like it because it forces me to take a break more often and then that way we can go see family or they can come see us.

Wyatt turned 1 on August 27th!  Crazy!

His brothers helped him with his presents.
I made him a lemon cupcake for the celebration.  I think he liked it!
Wyatt had his first haircut at the same place daddy and his Bubbas' get their hair cut.  With a sucker in his mouth he was good to go.

I am sad to say that my grandpa Sawyers past away in September.  He had not been doing well and had been dependent on a feeding tube for 3 years.  However he was not sick at the time he passed so we were not ready for his departure.  There was a very nice service for him in Ararat, VA where I, Kevin, and my step-brother Josh spoke, along with his preacher and music by the choir.  I will miss him dearly.. his birthday was just yesterday and though my heart was heavy I know he is in a better place where he is no longer in pain.  I miss him and I know my grandma misses him but I know that we will see him again.
The boys were again very sweet to grandma when she was sad.

And Emmett of course is 'wide open' always running 100 mph.  My ball of fire who wants to conquer all the evil bad guys with his Power Ranger - Ninja Turtle- ThunderCat- Batman- and Thor super powers.
Cael played soccer for the first time with the league at the YMCA.
He did well.  Some games he was more interested in looking at everything but the ball and what was going on with the game.
 'Thumbs up, mom!'
Thank you granny and grandpa Morgan for our new trampoline!  Emmett's favorite thing to do is to jump with his brother.  Of course he practices his moves so he can defeat any bad guys who come in the backyard.

Cael has been learning the alphabet through the letterland characters.  For the parade at school Mark made him a Red Robot costume.

Someone is a ham for the camera!
Halloween was a lot of fun!  Of course we were superheroes!!

Cael and Emmett were the red Power Ranger Mega Force.
Wyatt's costume was big but it worked.. of course he was the mighty HULK!
The boys wanted me to be a princess but I tried to explain that I don't keep princess dresses in my closet.  I had my leftover fairy accessories so I put those on to go for our walk around the neighborhood.
Daddy hug out on the driveway to pass out candy.

Say cheese!
Mark thought it would be fun to take a picture of my morning bed-head.  'I ain't go no shame!'
 Thanksgiving was a blast!
My brother Kevin, his wife Jennie, and their 4 kids, and my parents came.
House full and fun!!
The kids put on a show for us where they were singing and dancing.
Even Wyatt and Roxie couldn't resist...
'What does a fox say??'

Mark deep fried a turkey and I put one in the oven.
Both of them turned out yummy.

Dziedze and Mark carved up the turkeys.
The kids were able to play outside a little bit to jump off some energy on the trampoline.

Dziedze had the Redwing game on so the kids piled around to check it out.
Thanks Kevin and Jennie, and Beesha and Dziedze for coming!

So I am caught up for the most part.  I'll have to post the pictures of the house as it was being built and how things look now.

I hope you are all doing well!

Playing Catch-Up Part 1

Cael loves being a big brother to Wyatt.

Moving to the Raleigh area gave us an opportunity to see more of our family.  We have been able to spend time with grandparents
Arville Emmett Sawyers is one of the grandfathers Emmett was named after.

I call my grandma Sawyers 'Flossy' because she is so sassy.
The boys were so sweet to give her hugs and kisses.
 Mark and Wyatt just snuggled.

For Easter we were able to visit my brother Kevin and his family.
Here are the crazy big kids.. Max, Emmett, Maylee, Cael, and Isaac.
And there is my sister-in-law Jennie making us a smoothie.
Roxie is a cutie and about 4 months older than Wyatt.
These two chunky monkeys hung out in their strollers while we had some Easter fun at the church.
Emmett and Max tossed some eggs into baskets.
Maylee took Cael by the hand everywhere they went.  Those two were pretty much inseparable the entire visit.
And here the cuties are after running around during the egg hunt.
Emmett, Max, Maylee, Roxie, Cael, Wyatt, and Isaac.

So I was attempting to take a decent picture of Emmett to be blown up to a 5x7 to put on my grandma Hiatt's wall.  He was not be normal or stand still for nothing.  CRAZY child!

Being this close to High Point we've been able to spend time with Papi and Mimi as well.  The boys love to go to their house.

There is my handsome boy waking up in the morning.  Hey bright eyes!
Granny Morgan sent the boys Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle shirts.
Heroes in a half shell!
Beesha came up to hang out with us.

Mommy gets some of Wyatt's kisses every chance she gets.
I love it that he started kissing back... his mouth is wide open but it is as cute as can be.

Mark found a local park to take the boys to.

We went to Salisbury for my cousin Amy's wedding and stayed the night in a hotel.  The older boys snuggled in their transformer bed. :)
 Wyatt practiced rolling over

Wyatt got to meet grandma Hiatt for the first time.  His middle name is her husband's name, Talmage.
After the wedding we hung out at a park with our cousins for a while.
Cael climbed the rock wall with Isaac.
The dads swung on the swings.. Mark and Kevin.

I love to make my Jenilee's recipe for homemade strawberry cake.  I decided to let the boys help me.

Wyatt began sitting up and playing on his own.

Then we took a trip down to Florida.  Mark stayed down there with his folks while I went on a trip for work.

We took the boys to the beach.

Hung out with Beesha for a little bit..
'Riding in the car is fun....'
'We only went to the bathroom 10 times....' :)
'oh mom we can't help it'

Emmett turned 3 in May.  Time flies!  We went to Papi and Mimi's for a little celebration.
We got to see papa and nana Sawyers
Emmett got all kinds of fun toys and nice clothes.
Thank you papi and mimi!
 Yummy cupcakes!

Cael got Emmett the Red Power Ranger stuff as a gift.  It was hard to take it off of him.
On Emmett's actual birthday Mark made fun pancakes for the boys.
 What a sweet daddy!
Wyatt was not eating pancakes yet but he got to eat some baby food.

While our house was being built we stayed in an apartment complex with a pool.  I must say it was nice to play in the sun and in the pool on the weekends.
With these floaties the boys had a blast jumping into the pool and just having a ball.

When we tried to pull their board shirts off they stopped at their heads because the opening was so tight.  Cael and Emmett thought it was hilarious and Emmett said they looked like Sonic the hedgehog.

These next few pictures were from Father's Day morning.

More fun at the pool.  We took the packn' play so Wyatt could hang out in the shade and even nap.
The fearless Emmet jumps from Mark's shoulders.
Cael would even flip off Mark's shoulders.
Wyatt had the easy life of floating.

More to come....
